The investment of more than 2,000 billion VND to build an industrial park in Tran Yen district (Yen Bai) is expected to attract domestic and foreign investment, creating jobs for thousands of local workers.

According to research, Yen Bai currently has 3 industrial parks that have been included in the national industrial park system, including: Southern Industrial Park with an area of ​​400 hectares; Minh Quan Industrial Park with an area of ​​112 hectares; Au Lau Industrial Park with an area of ​​120 hectares.

Most of Yen Bai industrial parks are planned closely to the Noi Bai – Lao Cai highway, convenient for travel, transportation of goods and economic development. At the same time, it meets the investment needs of domestic and foreign investors.

With the advantage of geographical location and transportation infrastructure system, Tran Yen district, Yen Bai province has been developing rapidly in industry in recent years.

Accordingly, the area for planning the construction subdivision at a scale of 1/2,000 belongs to the administrative boundaries of Bao Hung commune and Minh Quan commune with a total planning research area of ​​339 hectares.

Tran Yen Industrial Park infrastructure construction and business investment project phase 1, with a land use scale of about 255 hectares, is proposed for investment by Viglacera Corporation – JSC.

Total expected investment capital is 2,184 billion VND, of which investor contributed capital is 327.65 billion VND, mobilized capital is 1,856.68 billion VND. The project’s operating period is 50 years from the date of investment approval.

In the future, when construction begins and goes into operation, Tran Yen Industrial Park will have an area of ​​339 hectares, the second largest after the Southern Industrial Park. Increasing the total area of ​​industrial parks to nearly 1,000 hectares.

Ms. Bui Thi Hang (resident of Tran Yen district) shared that people are very happy and support the Tran Yen Industrial Park project to start construction soon. Hopefully, after the project is completed and put into operation, it will attract many companies. Mr. Nguyen Van Phong (residing in Bao Hung commune, Tran Yen district) said that in the past, when there were no industrial parks, local people mainly worked in agriculture or if they wanted to be workers, they had to go to provinces like Bac Ninh. , Bac Giang, Hung Yen…

“I have been a worker in Bac Ninh industrial park for 5 years, earning more than 9 million VND/month. The above income level helps me ensure my life, take care of my children’s education, and save money to buy things. However, when the locality has industrial parks and factories, I will return to my hometown to work near my family” – Mr. Phong shared.

Talking to reporters on the afternoon of June 14, Mr. Nguyen Van Bay – Chairman of Bao Hung Commune People’s Committee – said that currently there is only planning for Tran Yen industrial park in part of Bao Hung and Minh Quan communes. It is expected that at the end of June, when the Central leaders come back to announce the New Rural Area, there will be a groundbreaking ceremony for this industrial park. As for the specific schedule, there is currently no date.
