At the 23rd session of the People’s Council of Hai Duong Province, term XVII, approved the Resolution on the planning project for the construction of Kim Thanh 2 industrial park, scale 1/2000. The location of Kim Thanh 2 industrial park is in Dai Duc and Tam Ky communes.

Total industrial park planning research area is 509.13 hectares, of which the industrial park planning area is 437.24 hectares, the research area for planning infrastructure connections and neighboring residential areas is 71.89 hectares.

The industrial park specializes in producing supporting industrial products and providing services for the production of supporting industrial products, attracting investment projects to produce supporting industrial products with high added value. The industrial park has a system of convenient public social works including accommodation facilities, commercial services, culture and sports, healthcare, green parks… to serve workers and laborers in the industrial park.

According to the resolution, the main functional areas are arranged as follows: administrative land, industrial park services, land use functions for commercial services, public utility services for construction workers. Maximum height of 9 floors. Land for factories, enterprises, and warehouses will be planned as industrial land plots with diverse and flexible areas to meet many types of industries, with a maximum height of 5 floors…

Previously, Kim Thanh district was planned to add Kim Thanh industrial park with a total area of nearly 165 hectares in the communes of Tuan Viet, Co Dung, and Thuong Vu.

This industrial park is oriented to attract businesses in the fields of information technology, precision mechanical machine manufacturing, household goods production, electricity, electronics… with high technology and clean technology.

This industrial park is in the process of site clearance. Thus, including planning, Kim Thanh district currently has 4 industrial parks including: Lai Vu, Phu Thai, Kim Thanh and Kim Thanh 2, of which Lai Vu and Phu Thai industrial parks are operating, with occupancy rates fully reached more than 90%.
