After that, the National Assembly discussed in the hall a number of contents with different opinions in the draft revised Law on Social Insurance.

Previously, the National Assembly Standing Committee had opinions on 6 major issues in receiving, explaining, and revising the draft revised Law on Social Insurance.

The big problem has been receiving a lot of attention, first of all is the issue of one-time social insurance benefits for people who are not yet old enough to receive pensions, do not continue to pay social insurance, and have not paid enough for 20 years. social insurance and have a request to receive one-time social insurance.

In addition, there are still some contents with different opinions regarding the regulation that business household owners are subject to compulsory social insurance; the management of social insurance fund investment activities; the impacts of wage policy reform; Social insurance financial issues.

Delegates were also concerned about late payment and evasion of social insurance payments. In order to protect the rights of workers, many opinions believe that there should be stronger sanctions for violations and further enhance the responsibility of employers.

Talking to the press at the press conference before the session, Mr. Lam Van Doan, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly’s Social Committee, said that this is a very difficult law project, affecting a large number of workers as well as people. retirement.

In particular, the basis for social insurance payment is an issue directly related to salary reform. This is a very difficult problem, requiring careful research. The Social Committee is also coordinating with other agencies to continue researching and submitting to the National Assembly the most optimal solution to ensure the rights of workers.
